In today's national chain, managed, franchised, themed pubs and Restaurants you'll find the cafe at the Lock Inn a pleasant reminder of when we were a nation of corner shop keepers. Owned and run by the same family since it was first opened in 1990 we are proud that we see many of the customers that first came 10 years ago. We always do our best to make sure that your visit to our cafe is an enjoyable experience that you will wish to repeat. WAS BREAKFAST INVENTED AT THE LOCK INN? No, we did not invent Breakfast. But the world famous "Boatman's Breakfast" as eaten by stars of stage, screen, and the world of sport too numerous to mention has helped to make it more fun. WHATS FOR LUNCH ? The words homemade and open all day adorn many eating establishments. At this café all day means all on the day menu is available from 8:30am until 6:00 pm 7 days, and **evenings are 6.30pm until you decide to leave , with 9.30pm last food orders. TEA, BEER OR A WINE We pride ourselves on making a proper pot of tea in the tradition of the True café, no complaints about our coffee either. But if it's a drink you need we have beers, lager and cider on draught .And a good selection of wines and spirits, and our house wines won't turn your hair ginger. AFTER DARK Our team of willing helpers polish up well and this busy little café can provide a ideal location For a romantic proposal or we can even host your wedding in the marquee in our canal side gardens.
